Since 2006, Resumental founder Julie Ghatan has custom-crafted professional resumes and cover letter for over 5,000 clients nationwide spanning all industries, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, sales, graphic design, healthcare, finance, banking, IT/tech, science, education, communications, manufacturing, architecture, and food/beverage. 

Julie Ghatan is a Certified Professional Resume Writer who spent years managing the resume-writing department for one of the country’s largest and most well-respected outplacement firms, where she reaped the benefits of over 40 years of extensive research in the employment industry.

 

In his book, Outliers, author Malcolm Gladwell suggests the key to achieving world-class expertise in any skill is a matter of practicing the correct way for a total of 10,000 hours. Having written resumes full-time for six years, Julie already had 12,000 hours of resume-writing under her belt by 2012, not to mention all the hours spent writing freelance resumes on the side.

 

Julie holds her Certification in Professional Resume Writing (CPRW), and is a member of the National Association of Resume Writers. She also holds a B.A. in Writing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. 

 

She has worked extensively with some of the nation’s largest and most recognized corporations, such as PepsiCo, Coca Cola, Nikon, NASA, Marriot Hotels, Walmart, JCPenney, CVS/Caremark, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Charles Schwab, developing resumes for personnel across every department and at every level of those organizations—from the administrative assistants to the CEOs. She has also taught resume-writing and personal marketing workshops at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago and SOHO House Chicago.

 

Julie is not geared toward one idea of “professional;” she understand that each individual is unique, that no two people have the same job function, and that everyone has something to offer.
